A Tool for Reducing Stress

When there is a lot of speculation and uncertainty, stop and take this internal quiz. Do this several times throughout your day as it will change. 

Go through these 7 areas of life and circle the number closest to what you are feeling at the moment. I use minus three (bad, needs work) to plus three (pretty good right now).

Physically: am I dragging, listless (-3) or energetic, full of vitality (3)
Currently I am: -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3

Mentally: am I dull, scattered, depressed (-3) or sharp able to focus, inspired (3)
Currently I am: -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3

Family: am I feeling disconnected, unloved (-3) or connected, loved (3)
Currently I am: -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3

Career: am I feeling unproductive (-3) or productive (3)
Currently I am: -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3

Socially: am I disconnected with friends (-3) or feeling connected (3)
Currently I am: -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3

Wealth: am I feeling afraid I will run out (-3) or abundant, more then enough (3)
Currently I am: -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3

Spiritual: am I really ungrateful (-3) or in tune with the infinite, truly grateful for what is (3)
Currently I am: -3 -2 -1 0 1 2 3

At the end of the day after you have gone through this at least three times, decide what area is causing your stress and pick three inspiring things you can do now to improve that area.

As we get more rational and less emotional and start to take action we change distress (bad for us) into eustress which is good for us.
