Chiropractic Care
Welcome to the science, art and philosophy of Chiropractic.
Chiropractic has become the largest drugless healing art in the world.
I personally have Adjusted over 6000 patients and preformed over 18,000 adjustments on people as young as two minutes and as old as 106 years.
Chiropractic is safe and effective at returning the body to a healthy state and keeping it that way.
This intelligence uses the nervous system to take in information, make decisions and give instructions to the body on how to heal and adapt to life.
The spine and other joints of the body when not moving properly can interfere with the expression of this intelligence causing dysfunction, dis-ease, pain and other symptoms.
As we align your body, the nervous system works better, healing occurs, and the dynamic function of the body returns. We feel lighter, younger and more vitalized and energized.
Recent scientific studies have shown Chiropractic to be most effective with many conditions:
Musculoskeletal: back, neck, ribs, elbows, wrists, shoulders, hips, knees and foot pain. As well as sciatica and arm and hand numbness.
Neurological: headaches, migraines, tension, neuropathy, fibromyalgia.
Digestive: trouble swallowing and constipation
Hormonal: sugar control, etc
Immune: responses like allergies and getting sick easily.
Chiropractic is also an art: every human being is different in our response to pain, dysfunction and degree of injury. We use a variety of techniques from very subtle to very obvious. We will work with you to use the right ones at the right time for your best result. Lets get to work!
Phases of care
Acute: We get you out of pain and back functioning as quickly as possible. 1-24 visits, average is 12.
Corrective care: posture, reversed curves, scolios corrections can take from 6 months to 2 years.
Maintenance: life is full of change and stress. Your body’s ability to adapt is paramount. Chiropractic helps you stay adaptable and in a position to thrive through-out life.
Corrective Exercises
Human beings compensate for injuries and other dysfunction, which can result in a less efficient way of moving. Using the ARPneuro therapy we can identify the dysfunctional muscles that are not absorbing force and doing specific exercises, we can correct long standing compensatory patterns. The results patients are seeing? Less to no pain, more agility and increased range of motion!
Functional Nutrition
The human body takes in food, breaks it down into absorbable nutrients, and uses them in a large variety of chemical processes to keep you alive. Our food sources are not as full of nutrients as they once were. We always work on your digestion first, then sugar control. These two things correct 80% of all complaints. Some problems can be helped with the right foods, others we use Standard Process supplements for boosting the nutrient uptake.
Mind Body Connections
Fear, Anxiety, Depression, Distress, PTSD, and many other mental conditions effect our physical health. Our amazing bodies give us feed back to what is going on in our psyche. Both the body and mind seek balance and stability, balancing the mind can bring about huge physiological changes. Dr Ken is not a licensed therapist but he does specialize in asking the questions that bring balance to the mind using the Demartini Method. This results in certainty, confidence, feelings of gratitude, a deep profound love and trust in ourselves and the world in which we live in.
Laser Therapy
Laser light, also known as photobiomodulation, provides energy for cellular repair. It reduces pain, optimizes the healing inflammatory process, making healing more efficient and effective. Excellent for shoulders, low backs and knees, to name a few. Our Summus Class IV therapeutic laser uses four different frequency/wave lengths for optimal results in pain reduction, inflammatory response, oxygen delivery and ATP (energy currency of the body) production. Treatment protocols are usually ten treatments that are frequent at first (Every day), then spaced out.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of soft body tissues (muscle, connective tissue, tendons and ligaments) to enhance a person’s health and well-being. It dovetails nicely with Chiropractic to speed up healing and maintain health. There are many types of massage therapy methods (also called modalities). We have the ability to use deep tissue as well as other gentler techniques all tailored to your needs at the time. People seek massage therapy for a variety of reasons; for example, to reduce stress and anxiety, to relax muscles, to rehabilitate injuries, to reduce pain and to promote overall health and wellness.
Pediatric Chiropractic
As a founding member of the International Chiropractic Associations’s council on pediatrics I’ve taken care of infants and children for over 30 years. Children can be given an advantage in life by having an aligned spine, great nutrition and lifestyle recommendations (counteract all the online sitting). Some of the benefits are improved sleep, improved behavior and attitude, better posture and improved immune system function. Colick, ear infections, digestive problems, ADD and ADHD challenges have all responded well to our care.
Pre/Postnatal Chiropractic
Pregnancy, delivery and post delivery all are stresses that a healthy spine and body can tolerate well. If the spine isn't functioning well then adapting to these stresses can be problematic. Pregnant women do very well with chiropractic as we restore the spine to normal function. Pain disappears and the woman feels empowered and resilient in this amazing process. Post delivery: making sure everything is aligned and functioning makes for a healthier you in the coming years.
Spine & Postural Screenings
Here at Crossroads Health Solutions, we are proud to offer spinal posture screening services. A functioning spine is important for proper body movement and healthy organ function. The onset of significant spinal conditions generally occurs between the ages of 10 and 14 in adolescent development.
Screening of the spine may provide an opportunity to identify problems that might impact student health. For this reason, many schools facilitate this screening as part of a health physical, and at-risk students are highly encouraged to be rechecked yearly. Posture screening may generally include assessment for scoliosis (side to side curve), kyphosis (round back) and lordosis (sway back), forward head carrying.
